Good news for all Eddie C. Campbell fans (..and those who have yet to discover this great artist):
Eddie C. will be performing at the Cool River (www.myspace.com/coolriv) in Homer Glen IL - which is a south western suburb of Chicago on 04/11/2009.
I heard he'll have a CD for sale at the gig which you can't get in any record store; it's a live recording from one if his recent tours in South America...
Make sure to mark your calendar and common out for a great time with even greater blues! ...and tell everybody you know to come too..
I've been waiting for this lineup to be announced for weeks. My wife and I will be travelling to the Midwest and we're going to the Chicago Blues Festival on Saturday and Sunday (June 13th and 14th). Sadly, I'll miss Eddie C. Campbell and Shirley Johnson on the 12th but what a fantastic line-up! And it's Free!!!!
Peace and Good Blues!

Great! Good to hear that Eddie C. is being tapped as the headliner. Not enough bluesmen left from his generation carrying it on. I've got some bits about Eddie C. over on my blog--fantastic human being. Anyway--
have been waiting for June to come along for the festival- my friend Blind John said Edgar Winter is playing, but that was last year- this year's line-up sounds great- can't get over this entire event is free and hassle free!
Sad Travler
Went to last years festival. Had a great time at park. Congress Hotel was a very bad experience. Items taken from room. Will not use that hotel, but will still travel to Chicago for the festival.
what happened to Thursday?
Thursday was eliminated this year because of the recession. Everybody's scaling back, it seems.
Koko Taylor will be miss. We were planning on taking the kids to see her this summer. She was a Chicago staple, some thing that all should experiance. Her memory will live on thew her recordings and fans.
Hi, I am from Millennium Garages (Four garages under Millennium and Grant Park) and you shouldn’t be the ones singing the blues when it comes to parking at this year’s Blues Fest.
Parking for only $25 at the Millennium Park and East Monroe garages should be music to your ears with easy-in/easy-out access right under all the action. For directions, check out millenniumgarages.com or call 312.616.0600.
Hi Deanna,
I'd be happy to post an advertisement for the Millennium Garage on the front page. Email me at todayschicagoblues@gmail.com for ad rates.
